This product accepts a single HDMI input from any HDMI-capable device and duplicates it to 8 RJ45 output ports, which connects to up to another eight Receiver Units (EXHDEX-1UTP-RP) over a Cat5e/6 cable length of up to 50m. It has an active signal retiming and amplification circuit to ensure exceptional signal fidelity and stability, and also synchronized output signals for minimal latency between displays. This makes it very easy to deploy and only requires a single Cat5e/6 cable from the unit to each display. As the HDMI over UTP cable circuitry is built into the unit, there is no clutter from excessive HDMI cables and accompanying power adapters for each Extender.
